What first comes to mind when you think of soap bubbles floating in the air? They‘re barely noticeable in an overcast sky, but all it takes is one ray of sun and the bubbles radiate all the colours of the rainbow. Colours of Bubbles songs are just as colourful. These young men, who grew up on the streets of Šiauliai and Pasvalys, shun Lithuanian provicialism and comfortably play powerful British guitar-based indie rock.
The artistically mature band calls Šiauliai, the industrial capital of Northern Lithuania, the Lithuanian version of Manchester. Šiauliai produced guitar-based groups like Bix, Axis and Brainers. Colours of Bubbles call the latter their older brothers, since they inherited their music studio and continue the city‘s musical tradition.
