Snake and Jet‘s Amazing Bullit Band is one of the most memorable bands in Denmark today. Having given psychedelic rock its second wind, these young men walk the avant garde path of European music. They bend the ears of listeners and straighten them out again, simply to make sure that the notes go directly to their brains to make the night even more enjoyable.
Snake and Jet, a.k.a Thor Rasmussen and Thomas Frederiksen, would like to play psychedelic rock, but they‘re awfully good at mixing musical cocktails which, if used correctly, don‘t allow you to stand still. The rather sharp drink of musical sounds, with a bit of ‘70s garage music, a few synthsizer keys and some brave concepts, is quickly digested by the ears, but the names Snake and Jet resound in them for a long time.
“We look at the world through our own prism, which contains old movies, old school electronic sounds, and anarchy that turns everything upside down. It‘s explosive, completely silly, and yet deathly serious,“ say the musicians in describing their work.
Together since 2003, Snake and Jet‘s Amazing Bullit Band has already released four albums and earned the title of Denmark‘s frontrunner for alternative music. The band‘s first single, Favorite, climbed to the top of the European charts, and the duet is often nicknamed twentieth-first century Nirvana. The pronounced and creative Snake & Jet’s make you forget everything to have fun no matter where you are, whether you’re in the concrete jungles of the Metropolis or in the sunny fields of Norviliškės.
