SECURITY AND PROTECTION
Festival is a magic place in the wonderful environment with fantastic music, tasty food and different people – thousands of people in 50 hectares territory. This is a place and time for relax.
However, it is difficult to avoid crime and thievery in such a big crowd. Although festival’s objective is to become a calm and peaceful event, some of the people view it as a good place to steal and illegally cash in. The most popular thefts are done in the tents. Organizers will make every effort to protect you and your property, but no one can do it better than you yourself. Do not let anyone upset your mood by committing crimes against you or your friends.
• Police, security, firefighter and medical services as well as volunteers will be on the watch in the festival territory
• Parking and camping areas will be floodlit and protected by the security service 24 hours a day
• It is imperative to respect the Lithuanian – Byelorussian border. Do not cross the border as legal actions, such as fines and imprisonment, will be taken against you!
• Lost and found property will be kept safe in the festival’s lost and found property office. It will be easier to return the property to the right owner if your things will be marked with your special sign
• If you fall a victim, or if you notice yourself or other people in danger, report it to a closest policeman, security person or a volunteer immediately
• Please respect each other and do not be indifferent if someone is in danger
CHILDREN
• Children and teenagers under 16 are allowed to enter the site guided by an adult person, who signs for the supervision in the Information center.
• There will be a possibility to leave preteens under professional supervision (a particular amount of money will be charged for this service)
Our recommendations:
• Lock your means of transport and do not leave any valuables in the prominent places
• Take with you only those things that you are not afraid to lose
• Build your tents as close to your friends as possible. If you came to the festival without friends, get to know each other with your neighbors. This might help to prevent thievery. Protect and respect each other!
• Mark your tent and your property. Be sure that the sign is indelible. Thieves try to avoid marked property
• Take all valuables with you when leaving your tent or lock it safely in your cars. Keep your tents untidy in order to make it harder for the thieves to steal anything
• Be creative in hiding valuables before going to sleep, because you might not hear when somebody will sneak into the tent. Do not put all your money in one place – try to divide it into small amounts and hide it in different places. It is better to lose less than everything.
• Having noticed any suspects, do not approach them yourselves, report it to the closest volunteer
• Try to stay with your friends and people you trust. Groups of people are less vulnerable.
• Avoid dark places and try to keep in floodlit areas
• Divide your cash into different pockets
• It is imperative to wear special festival wristlets during the whole festival. This is your festival “passport”. You will exchange your ticket into festival wristlet. You can get into the festival zone only wearing the wristlet. Do not try to give or sell it to others, because you will harm the sticker. If the sticker is harmed, the wristlet will be useless. Festival security has the right to check the state of the wristlet.
